Day 18

Read 1 John 1:7

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.”

It should not be a surprise to see how our walk with God is connected to our fellowship with other believers. If we are experiencing a right and healthy relationship with Jesus we will always move towards right and healthy relationships with Jesus followers. The opposite is true as well, if we find ourselves struggling to love and connect with other believers we would do well to first consider and recalibrate our walk with Christ. John shares a simple, yet profound truth with us: abiding in Jesus spills out into a joy shared with others. As we seek to cultivate true and joy-filled fellowship with each other let’s first commit to walking with Jesus. Take the time now to ask Him to fill you with joy overflowing.
